COVID 19 has had a huge effect in India. The National shutdown has caused a huge migration of the very poor as they make their way home or try to find somewhere where they can work. (Many of these workers receive less than $1 per day and virtually live hand to mouth.)
Vanitashray are giving care packs to families in communities who are finding it hard to survive. A gift of about $10 will place a pack of food with one family and give them enough to eat for two weeks. They are also giving out free hot meals to people on the street whilst observing safe social distancing procedures.
