The Initiatives of Peace project is a global effort dedicated to fostering healing in communities affected by or at risk of violent conflict. We believe sustainable peace begins with restored relationships, focusing on community-led initiatives that address deep-seated trauma and social divides. By empowering local leaders to create their own pathways for transformation, we help move communities from cycles of poverty and discrimination toward a future built on trust and dignity
Empowering Local Leaders
This growing network creates sustainable systems of peacemaking training with a vision to see volunteer teammates working in over 60 countries. These teams launch locally designed programs ranging from reconciliation "peace camps" to domestic violence reduction and justice system mediations. We provide the essential training, resources, and global connectivity needed for these grassroots movements to thrive independently, ensuring each project is shaped and directed by the local community.
